- Attendance: There were 29 present at the meeting.
- Business meeting: President Rick Creed welcomed everyone and
introduced the additional elected officers Richard Tavernaro (North Cobb) Vice
President, Terry Blish (Marist) Secretary/Treasurer, and Pete Higgins
(Westminster) Training Director.
- Treasurer's Report: Terry Blish gave the Treasurer's report.
- Election of Vice President and Training Officer:
Richard Tavernaro (Vice-President) and Pete Higgins (Training Officer) were
both reelected to serve another term in their positions.
- Old business: It was voted to try to keep an
eighteen (18) week swimming season for next year.
- Time Standards Committee: A time standards was
established to determine if better time standards for our state meet can
be put in place for next year. They are to report their findings
before March 29, 2004 the date of the spring GHSA meetings.
- Diving: The newly proposed three step diving entry into
the state meet was discussed in detail and accepted to be passed on to the
GHSA Swimming Committee.
- High Scoring Teams: The high scoring teams in the
A-AA-AAA-AAAA 2004 State Meet were announced and they received the GHSSCA
plaques for their accomplishment.

- Coach-of-the-Year: Greg Puckett (Brookwood) was elected
for the 5A Girls, and Jennifer Weaver (Collins Hill) and David
Streib (Harrison) were elected as co 5A Boys Coaches. In the
1-4A Schools Colin Creel (Wesleyan) was elected as Girl's Coach,
and Charles Todd (Dalton) was elected as the Boy's Coach.
Congratulations to these fine coaches.
- Swimmer-of-the-Year: 5A Girls is Beverly Walker
(Walton) and Kevin Cargill (Centennial) for the 5A Boys. In
the 1-4A Girls Elizabeth Hill (Westminster) and Chris Ewald
(South Forsyth) for the 1-4A Boys.
- Fall Meeting: The Fall GHSSCA meeting will be hosted by
Pace Academy on September 18, 2004 at 10:00 am.
